James is a UK Solicitor specialising in international tax and estate planning. Having practiced for over fifteen years, he is a former partner and Head of Private Client Services of a leading London law firm and a former Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. From 2011 to 2014 he lived and worked in Geneva and he has been a frequent visitor to Switzerland ever since.

James is an expert in cross-border estate planning, all aspects of trusts, personal and trust taxation and charity law. He has a wealth of experience advising globally mobile individuals and UHNW families in relation to their tax position and estate planning. He has a particular interest in the design of trust structures to ensure they are manageable, robust and tax efficient. In recent years he has also advised a number of individuals on setting up charities.

In the Swiss market, James has a focus on advising trustees, advising international clients of private banks, and advising ex-pats on cross border estate planning.
